The Veolia Fire incident has resulted in a small group composing a 'deputation' for the 26th Nov Env, Transport and Sustainability Committee asking for information of improved planning in teh event of future fires (and questionning the appropriatness of the existing site), Dominic Furlong will present (read) it at the meeting.

The Golf Courses future use issue was raised and members encouraged to respond by supporting Sussex Wildlife Trusts rewilding appeal.

Council tagging and graffiti consultation - Miriam will circulate link and we should try to respond. Post to Friends as well? Put on Facebook.

We discussed posting minutes on website (which we cannot do with Ted out of service). Could use Facebook if Jane Power agrees. Goup e-mail to Friends?

Any Other Business: Miriam told us that our Community Meeting speaker (Larissa) who failed to arrive had actually left Council employ! Barbara said she was present at the planning meeting when the Committee rejected an HMO application for Crescent Road which would have sandwiched a house between two HMOs. Eva wants us to discuss and share ideas for new community action eg gardening group to help less able or Street Library Box. Rob suggested we could make use of the Citywide scheme called Nature 2020 to hang actions on eg 20 new nest boxes in 2020. Jane D hopes we might be able to address poor street lighting and vegetation overhanging pavements Meeting ended 9.50pm.
